Certification Location and Time
by posted 08/08/2022

Hello JV Team,

Certification will be this Saturday at the East Lincoln Community Center.  Please arrive by 8:30 am.

I am currently organizing all certification documentation for Saturday.

I am still in need of documentation from A LOT of players. If you have not done so, would you please turn in your child's documentation at today's practice?

Your child MUST be in attendance on Saturday in order to be certified. The officials will review all documentation and ask each child their date of birth and what school they attend in order to make sure it matches the documentation. The officials will then proceed to take a picture and weigh your child upon exiting the building. These pictures will be used only to verify each player before each game. Their weight will be documented, and if your child is over the weight limit to carry the ball for our age group (125 lbs), your child's helmet will be RED TAPED. A Red Tape on a helmet means your child will not be able to carry the football in games. The officials will communicate this to the coaches, and the coaches will tape your child's helmet.

This is a very serious process that is done by Big South in order to keep this game fair, organized, safe, and maintain the high quality of the Big South Football organization.

Saturday afternoon will go smoothly if we are organized and prepared once allowed into the building.  If we go into certifications not organized, they will send the ENTIRE team back out, and we will have to wait and go back at the end of the line.

Lastly, the only people allowed into the building are coaches, team moms, commissioners, officials, and players. I will keep your child's documentation with me and hand them to the official to review. Each team is allotted 30 minutes to get through the process, SO please remain on site. After we are dismissed, I would like to return your child's paperwork to you before you leave the parking lot.

I need an OFFICIAL birth certificate with a raised seal, proof of address, and school. A school report card or a letter from your child's school is the easiest and most efficient document to confirm both the proof of address and school.

I will be at Monday's practice.  I will be wearing a purple Clemson Tiger hat and sitting in a red tailgating chair. I will attempt to locate parents, but please look for me.

Players need to wear full pads and gear: helmets, chin strap, mouthpiece, shoulder pads, practice jersey, padded pants, and cleats. Please remember to hydrate during the day and bring a water bottle.

If you have any questions, let me know!
